· Provide hands-on learning that is active and fun
· Promote good nutrition and cost-effective meal planning
· Support parents who want to help their child learn the early reading readiness skills needed for success in life.
· Provide necessities such as transportation and childcare so that parents of young children can be involved in our programs.
· Give parents of young children a chance to meet, share, and learn from each other.

Aboriginal Head Start Program
Aboriginal Head Start (AHS), funded by Health Canada, is an early intervention program for First Nations, Inuit and Metis children and their families living in urban centers and large northern communities. more

Families First is a community based home-visiting program offering information and support to parents facing the many challenges of caring for a baby. Home Visitors support parents in learning to care for their children so they will be healthy and happy. more
Growing Years Family Resource Center
"The Growing Years Family Resource Centre will strive to establish and maintain an essential range of services and resources that serve to build family and parental capacity to care for children." more
Nova House
Nova House is a shelter for abused women and children in the Interlake Region of Manitoba. We provide temporary shelter, counselling, support groups, and referral to community resources for women and their children. Interim housing is also available for women and children to use until they become independent. more

A program in a group setting, which benefits parents and their babies or toddlers, by focusing on interactive songs, rhymes and stories therein promoting physical and intellectual development. more

 
Public Health Programs - Southeast Interlake
Public health nursing services includes services related to moms and babies, children and adolescents, parenting, and family and community health.
 
Step’N Out With Mom
Step’N Out with Mom is a drop-in group for pregnant women and moms with infants up to one year of age. The group meets in various locations throughout the Interlake.
